I am Lena Camthanh, a self taught painter who learned by looking closely at life. I did not follow a school or a textbook. I let colour, memory, and feeling guide my hand. Painting is how I make sense of joy and sorrow and how I turn them into something you can hold with your eyes.
Each canvas is more than something to hang on a wall. It is a doorway to memory. A quiet street from childhood. The soft look of a mother. The first light of love. The peace of a familiar place. I hope my work invites you to pause, breathe, and feel seen.

Behind the Work
My inspiration begins with ordinary life. I sketch from observation and collect small notes until a scene feels inevitable. Colour carries the mood. Edges carry the breath. The space between figures carries the story. I hope you see a part of yourself in these paintings, familiar and human.

Practice and process
I work in oils on linen and panel. Each piece moves through studies and colour tests before I build the final layers. I keep the palette calm so the light can speak. Every finished work is signed Lena Camthanh and documented with care so it arrives ready for its second life on your wall.

On tools and honesty
I sometimes shape my exhibition notes with help from ChatGPT the way I would use a sketchbook for words. Ideas are refined. The paintings are conceived and created by hand in my studio.
